Principal Platform Data Engineer - CA/ AZ (Currently 100% remote till COVID-19)

Role – Principal Platform Data EngineerLocation – California- San Mento, Arizona - TempeDuration Full Time Salary + Benefits + Relocation Assistances and only REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:• Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in operating systems, networks, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software design• 10+ years experience building large scale, real-time distributed systems with solid coding, problem-solving, and design skills• Ability to demonstrate a team-first attitude towards software development• Mastery of developing and working with thoughtfully designed HTTP APIs, such as REST or GraphQL• Experience in at least one of the cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform• Experience in container technologies, such as Docker. Ideally with container orchestration such as Kubernetes or Docker• Hands-on Experience with Java, SQL, and one data programming language (Python, R, etc)• Knowledge and experience building applied ML-based applications highly preferred• Experience working with various data stores: SQL, NoSQL, and/or key-value store• Mature engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, secure coding, etc)• Experiences in stream processing platform, such as Spark, Apache Beam, Flink, Storm, or equivalent• Experiences in the messaging system, such as Apache Kafka or equivalent• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms, and an ability to communicate complex issues to a range of audiences (management, peers, clients). •• Strong attention to detail while excellent time management and prioritization in multitaskingEDUCATION:Bachelor’s/Masters in Computer Science or relevant field, or relevant experience in software development
