Title: Technical Business Analyst

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Description:
  • Writes specifications primarily for the enterprise-wide, field-facing Food Management System (PRIMA Web) and the Culinary Master System (PRIMA Web Master).
  • Responsible for the documenting and analyzing both the business and system processes at Client, Most of the work will be specific to Food Production processes. Will collect documentation and process descriptions from various Subject Matter Experts (SME). These SMEs will be members of the PRIMA Web Training and Support Teams from the Global Operational Excellence Group, as well as the Culinary Group from Strategic Assets and Supply Chain Management Team. When researching field specific implementations and issues there will also be interaction with Line of Business Operational Excellence (OPEX) Teams.
  • Specifications in the form of Users Stories are the primary output. Documents to support the user stories will be in the form of Use Cases (UML), Flowcharts (VISIO), Data Samples, Entity Models (VISIO), Screen Mock-Ups, Report Mock-Ups and Test Cases. Story Boards in the form of Power Point presentations may also be needed to explain larger feature sets. Ability to arbitrate and facilitate discussions when various stakeholders are trying to explain what the system has to do for their pieces of the process.
  • Once the User Story is written and approved for Development, this role is responsible for tracking User Story through Development. The Development team may at times require you to clarify points made in the specification. This role will track down answers to process and implementation questions posed as the Story is being developed into the System Software. Must be comfortable with escalating issues that may arise as Stories progress when no clear answer/solution is found.
  • Testing of the feature, with assistance from the Development team members closes out the User Story process.
  • The team utilizes Microsoft's Team Foundation Server to manage the development of PRIMA Web and the PRIMA Web Master and uses a form of the Agile System Development Approach as our methodology.

  • Document possible features / enhancements that would add value to users experience.
  • Create and update User Stories.
  • Acceptance testing software to confirm software satisfies all requirements documented in the user story.
  • Document system bugs in TFS.
  • Collect and document clinet standard processes.
  • Create User Interface and Report designs
  • Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Conduct data analysis in support of decision making
  • Researching, writing, presenting and updating User Stories. Iterative process.
  • Collecting documentation on Client standard processes to be used in the creation of specifications. Describing the implementation within PRIMA Web of standard processes, ensuring that the system can efficiently and effectively capture data needed by food production managers.
  • Creating UI and Report designs that implement the documented processes. Turning these into user interfaces and reports that align with the forms and sheets being used to capture and analyze food production and inventory information used by the field to run the business.
  • Identifying ways to improve the systems to add value and efficiency. This comes from aggregating the user, support and training feedback. Must be able to envision different perspectives when analyzing this data.
  • Providing specialized analytical support and conducting ad-hoc studies as needed.
  • Builds and maintains strong working knowledge of the business area and the applications that support it. Develops a basic understanding of the industry and the products and services of Client
has a solid understanding of how systems effect and benefit clients (end users).
  • Evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions. Designs projects with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
