A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking to bring on a Project Manager / Business Analyst to be based in New York, NY. K
nowledge of Asset Management / Investment Banking (Front-Office) is required. Position is on a six-month contract basis with possibly for extension. W2 Only.The delivery of the project requires coordination of a number of key deliverables across different areas within Asset Management:- Portfolio Management
- Pre-Trade Compliance
- Dealing and trade support
- Middle-Office
- Product and Client Servicing
- Legal agreements
- Define and document new business requirements
- Provide and assist with the management of adherence to scope and requirements (functional and non functional) to ensure the projects remain on track.
- Document the target Operating Model, Business operating and Service models
- Working with Project Management to help manage the dependencies analysis
- Ensure there is a clear mapping of change by capturing the future state models and highlighting changes to the current processes so that they are effectively transferred into a set of core operating procedures
- Manage an ongoing gap analysis and resolution of gaps with process driven solutions
- Draft SLAs and continuity/Disaster Recovery modelling.
- Where necessary, undertake Testing through Proof of Concept and UAT and ensure that systems testing requirements are provided to IT in advance of system testing and oversee SIT to ensure that test cases are reported and issues raised within this cycle prior to the business UAT.
- Engage with key stakeholders, define project requirements
- Analysis of data provided and refine to detail scope and work required
- Draft up target process flows and procedures and work with locations to implement changes
- Ensure core deliverables and associated outcomes are achieved for the business.
- Build strong relationships with local and global stakeholders
- Work with key stakeholders to develop and implement efficient solutions to support the various programmes
- Manage progress of tasks and deliverables throughout project; manage project plan
- The individual will conduct status meetings, distribute status reports to project sponsors / stakeholders, manage expectations, and serve as main communication source
- Coordinate / manage any major workshop / meetings involving multiple project participants; collaborate with other business analyst to facilitate the progress of the workshop with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Oversee and escalate issues when tasks in the critical path are not completed
- Own the process flow maps; capture changes on future state diagram as they are made
- Manage multiple work streams and taking ownership for the implementations at several stages of the project including requirements gathering and documentation, quality assurance, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and go-live readiness
- Manage business requirements, prioritize, communicate them clearly to the global project teams, and manage dependencies with other business direction
- Build strong working relationships with the Business and the service provider
- Liaise with relevant functional heads on project issues, risks, timelines and dependencies with other initiatives
- Able to define both Business and Functional requirements
- Re-engineer the existing business processes, and make suggestions to simplify business flows, and recommend target operating model in consultation with the service provider
- Engage Senior Business stakeholders and secure resources (in both the Business and the service provider) for project implementation
- Knowledge of Asset Management / Investment Banking (Front-Office) is required.
