Job Description

Olsson’s traffic experts provide clients with a single resource for such traditional services as traffic operations studies, pedestrian circulation studies, and intersection improvement/design projects. They are also proficient in more complex projects, including conducting citywide safety studies, improving signal systems, and evaluating and designing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). As an Associate Engineer for the Springfield MOTraffic/Technology team, you will use CAD software to create plans and perform design work. Traffic design includes traffic signals, roundabouts, pavement marking, signing, and temporary traffic control. You may also travel to jobs sites for field observations, and/or field work, working in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

  • Excellentwrittenand verbalcommunicationskills
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team
  • Bachelor’s degree inCivil Engineering
  • 4-7 yearstraffic or transportation engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Proficiency inAutoCAD(or similar software)
  • Proficiency in Synchro (or similar software)
  • Strongproblem-solvingand math skills
