About The RoleMobile data platform builds a platform to capture and surface high quality mobile events data. This data is critical for Uber in order to understand consumer behaviors and build features to better serve the customers, to derive engineering and business metrics for better understanding of our business, and to build models for greater efficiency and customer experience.Mobile data platform team ensures that Uber has high quality, source of truth data for all lines of business. As the mobile data platform team, we define a comprehensive, systematic, and end to end data management process of mobile events. We build a platform to collect, transfer, process and route mobile data to different downstream services and data stores , which make them consumable by our customers: engineers, data scientists, PMs, EMs, and operations.

What You'll Do• Makes it easy to define and produce the mobile data• Enables data management and data discovery at your fingertips• Ensures high quality of data through testing/validation, review, and production monitoring• Ensures critical mobile data are transferred to the backend reliably with low latency• Ensures the mobile data are properly owned, produced, consumed

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience At least 3 years of experience working with the Android platform Excellent fundamentals in software engineering Ability to collaborate and communicate with a globally distributed team to help discover gaps in our frameworks, tooling, and infrastructure and help drive solutions

Preferred Qualifications Experience in mobile SDKs, platform and/or developer tools Experience with SQL or other data query language Experience with large datasets Previous work on an application which ships to millions of users Strong written, verbal communication skills Knowledgeable on modern Android architecture, tooling, and best practiceAt Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion.
