CDL Driver

FULL-TIME

$20/hr

Perform the function of delivery driver consistent with established standards of customer service and safety as set forth by company. - Must know how to drive standard (shift) truck.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Wraps and loads skids.

Completes job tickets.

Completes trailer maintenance log sheets

Performs all applicable pre/post trip safety inspections and logs.

Creates bill of lading for shipments.

Tracks maintenance on vehicles.

Operates pallet jacks and power walkers.

Delivers shipments to customers consistent with customer expectations, safety policies, and as a professional representative of company.

Maintains safe driving record and adheres to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the safe operation of vehicle.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).

Must have a forklift and valid driver’s license, Class A, B or C, whichever is appropriate for company vehicle type.

Must have 2 years of experience driving a commercial vehicle.

Must report any moving violations on his/her driving record as they occur.

Must have knowledge of mechanics especially with regards to the semi-truck and trailer.

Must have strong mathematical skills to make sure counts are accurate.

Must have good communication skills to assist customers.

Must have good decision-making skills.

Must have basic computer skills & working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Must be self-managed.

Must be able to problem solve.

Must be able to maintain good attendance.

Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
