Help the team understand performance bottlenecks at all levels of the software stack, assist in diagnosing network and storage performance issues, automate measurements.Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze performance bottlenecks in the product
- Own performance and scalability test plan, design, implementation, and execution
- Work closely with development teams to analyze, debug and resolve performance issues
- Develop performance monitoring tools & frameworks. Automate test execution and reporting
- Prepare and present performance benchmark best practices, test results, comparisons and analysis
- Provide day to day technical guidance and hands on help to engineers
- Deliver consistently in a fast-paced environment, giving attention to detail even under high-pressure situations
Experience & Qualifications - BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in the field of performance engineering of complex multi-threaded systems
- Proficiency in Java, Python and Bash
- Experience with optimizing OS services (such as networking, storage & kernel parameters)
- Experience delivering products such as file systems, databases and messaging infrastructure
Bonus Points - Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Familiarity with C, C & Go
- Experience with CI/CD (such as Jenkins)
