job summary:Working with the Program Manager, the Assistant Program Manager will play a lead role in developing and training/ spreading stardardized templates, practices, workflows, processes, resource monitoring, and roadmap development and execution within the Program. The Assistant Program Manager will support the Program Manager in the continued development of a PMO/TMO that enables the assessment, design, implementation, and deployment of systems and digital solutions. These efforts will ensure that project plans verify milestones are defined, met, and effectively managed in light of shifting priorities. The Assistant Program Manager will aid in communicating timelines, scope, deliverables, and risks to leadership and key cross-departmental stakeholders, and help continuously improve processes. The Assistant Program Manager will be accountable for conducting discovery assessments, data analyses, and developing deliverables throughout the project lifecycle to support discrete projects as assigned. The Assistant Program Manager will partner with the Program Manager and key internal stakeholders on the design and engagement of change management principles, as well as the creation and upkeep of operating models to assist with digital transformation. location: San Francisco, Californiajob type: Contractsalary: $75 - 85 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Program Manager, work to lead the creation, dissemination, training, maintenance, and effective execution of internal standard processes/ artifacts/ tools/ ROI models to aid the team, Program, and leadership on the monitoring of Program Portfolio & project progress against budget, schedule, risks, resources, dependencies, and scope. Aid in the development, evaluation, and implementation of Program policies, standards, and procedures. Engage in the completion, utilization, training, and enhancements/ maintenance of the Program's PPM tool. Provide guidance for operations and quality assurance of product and team performance.
  • Identify and evaluate risks and dependencies associated with project activities and take appropriate action to escalate them. Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward.
  • Engage stakeholders and partners on problem solving and execution.
  • Conduct discovery assessments, data analyses, and develop deliverables throughout the project lifecycle to support discrete projects as assigned
  • Develop lasting relationships with Program teams, focused on understanding and aligning relevant processes, objectives, methodologies, performance standards, and project organization, and partnering to continuously improve Programmatic performance.
  • In partnership with the Program Manager, coordinate team performance and continuous improvement of DPE Program project processes.
  • Communicate effectively with teams to identify needs and evaluate alternative processes/ solutions. Solicit team feedback to engage in improving services/ processes.
  • In partnership with the Program Manager, work to refine the Project & Program Management foundational practices to support emerging Program needs/ goals.
  • Scan research and prepare materials on best project management industry practices, change management practices, competitive intelligence, digital transformation, and other industry/ improvement efforts to guide, inform, and strategize on emerging capabilities which could benefit the Program.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align on change management and communication management plans
qualifications:
  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors (required)
