Qualifications

Roles and responsibilities:Performance analysisUse of laboratory and in-field test equipment including receivers, spectrum analyzers, and signal analyzersUse of software defined radioTerrestrial wireless communication, both fixed and mobileLong range communication, both terrestrial and SATCOMInteract with team members in both engineering development roles and operational rolesFamiliarity with frequency spectrum allocationsFamiliarity with H/W as it relates to RF TechnologyExperience identifying user and enterprise needs/requirements.Experience in supporting requirements engineering, CONOPs development, and system integration to accommodate the end-to-end system.Understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain

EducationRequires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or10 to 13 years with MS/MA or7 to 9 years with Ph.D.

LocationWork is performed in the Chantilly, VA area. Additionally, this engineer will be expected to work at various sites across WMA.

Clearance TS/SCI W POLY

Travel- Travel outside WMA will be 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

RF EngineerThe program has an opening for an RF Engineer to provide SETA support to a government program office. This position requires both insight and experience in a wide range of RF systems engineering tasks, including terrestrial and SATCOM system design, and recent experience directly supporting COTRs in a SETA role.An essential requirement for this individual is to use their experience to identify performance and capability gaps of existing systems and new systems in development. Familiarity with communication devicesis an essential qualification.Document preparation and the ability to communicate effectively are also needed.This position is both an advisory and delivery role. Using a holistic approach, candidate will advise on strategic technology planning, perform application development, implement and deliver systems and support. Candidate will also understand how projects will impact other areas, beyond stated scope.
