Job Description:The Lead Technical Architect is responsible for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions that meet non-functional (e.g., performance, security, and operational considerations) requirements in support of a given initiative. The Lead Technical Architect plays a role in establishing architectural vision and direction, architects' technical solutions provide advice and guidance, monitors emerging technologies, and in technology evaluation and selection.The right individual would balance product solutioning with hands-on technical capabilities and extend broader leadership capabilities to a larger community of software engineers, in order to align everyone to a shared technology direction and strategy.This role involves tight collaboration with business stakeholders, teams, customers, and third-party stakeholders in defining the technology infrastructure, decomposition into components and subsystems, and the definition of interfaces between subsystems. While providing a general view on solution architecture, they enable those who implement value by empowering them to make local decisions in order to provide a faster flow of value and better economics.

Key Responsibilities Architecture Vision and Direction:
  • Contributes to the technology strategy by identifying, assessing, and recommending external trends in technology, technology solutions, and methodologies.
  • Assists with the development of frameworks, standards, policies, principles, and procedures that guide technology decisions and maximize the reuse of technology.
  • Facilitates architecture reviews, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, and consistency across organizational and design boundaries.

Technical Architecture Development:
  • Develops the logical and technical architecture for project and platform initiatives and collaborates with project teams to realize them.
  • Identifies necessary non-functional requirements (performance, security, operational concerns) and participates in the development of conceptual architecture.
  • Drives alignment between Enterprise Architecture, Technical Architecture, and business needs.
  • Participates in application rationalization and the development of application architecture roadmaps.
  • Evaluates technology, security, performance, availability, and interoperability requirements and produce high-level design deliverables that enable development teams to produce products that are flexible, scalable, and secure.
  • Recommends options for the resolution/prevention of technical debt and facilitates rapid development and implementation.
  • Develops and executes test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical development, and where possible, make recommendations for improvement.
  • Contributes performance, security, and operational items to a backlog of the development team.

Advice & Guidance:
  • Provides technical guidance and oversight, acts as a point of escalation and serves as a technical expert on projects.
  • Communicates technical architectures, relevant technologies, practices, platforms, and products to the delivery team and other stakeholders.
  • Mentors on business knowledge, technology, and career guidance.
  • Assists in the identification, analysis, and resolution of technology infrastructure problems.

Emerging Technology Monitoring:
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and the evolution of current technologies to define a future vision roadmap for optimal applications of technology to meet business needs.
  • Recommends improvements to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team.
  • Conducts Proof of Concept for feasibility studies.

Strategic Sourcing:Oversees and facilitates the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology, as well as the design of standard configurations for a particular project.

Required Skills:
  • 5 years experience in the full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in AWS Technologies (AWS certification preferred)
  • Proficiency in .NET and Microsft Server technologies
  • Basic familiarity with front-end web development
  • Prior experience in the implementation of design and architecture processes in an Enterprise Agile environment.
  • Prior experience in IT architecture roles in large-scale, complex IT environments
  • 2 years of leadership experience
  • A solid understanding of the solutions architecture of consumer-scale web solutions, distributed systems integration, and cloud computing platforms is strongly desired.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent work experience

Job Requirements:Target Years of Exp: 8-10 years

Top 5 Must-Haves:
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures or compatible architecture patterns
  • Prior experience in IT architecture roles in large-scale, complex IT environments
  • Proficient with knowledge of C#, .NET framework, and web API
  • Relational and non-relational data modeling using Postgres
  • Ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels
