The City of Yakima Transit Division has an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to provide technical support to electronic hardware and software including computers, mobile devices, surveillance cameras and GIS systems. The Transit Operations Specialist assembles and analyzes multifaceted transit data, performs complex modifications to transit routes and schedules, supports bus stop programs, prepares reports, and makes presentations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1) Two (2) years professional experience performing computerized statistical/data research and analysis; AND an Associate Degree (AA) or 2-year Vocational School Certificate of Completion in Computer Science, Data Processing, Computer Technical Support or related;

OR

2) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, with major course work in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Business, Computer Applications, Public Administration, or a related field.
