Sports Program Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. At least 21 years of age.

2. Alarm/Emergency Procedures training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.

3. CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire and biannually thereafter.

4. New Employee Orientation and Listen 1st or other alternative training within 30 days of hire.

5. Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or have experience in related field.

6. Basic computer and mathematical skills for program development, management and appraisal.

7. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

8. Ability to solve practical problems and work through situations of varying gravity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sport Program Director is expected to fulfill the following functions:

1. Organize and execute Youth Sports programs including: Itty Bitty Sports, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball

2. Oversee Adult Sports: Pickleball, Noonball and Pickup Soccer

3. Oversee, organize and/or execute Sports and Science camps

4. Liaison with Tongue River Valley Community Center and Sheridan Recreation

5. Work in partnership with Sheridan Rec for 6th grade Volleyball and Basketball, and Youth Basketball

6. School visitations

7. Sponsorships

8. Upkeep of Sports closets and Sheds

9. CDL license w/air brakes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
