SYSTEMS/NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (LC-21-0701-F) Bowhead is seeking a Network Administrator to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Detachment Norfolk (NSWCCDDN) located at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story. The Network Administrator performs duties involved in the routine development, testing, implementation and maintenance of operating system and related software. Troubleshoots and resolves routine software, operating system and networking problems. Schedules, performs and monitors routine system backups and when necessary, performs data recoveries. Installs, and maintains company's local area network or wide area network. Responsibilities require an understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and practice. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or other related field from an accredited college or university. • COMPT TIA Security+ CE certificate and MCITP-Server Administrator or MCSA-Server 2003/2008 Certification. (IA Certification required) • Requires four plus (4+) years of relevant experience. • Successful individual should demonstrate the ability to provide computer engineering and IT Administrator support, function as Computer Systems Analyst, maintain and provide technical guidance and recommendations for hardware and software upgrades and assist RDT&E Lab Administrator in implementation of Information Assurance tasks to maintain Lab Certification and Accreditation. • Experience shall also demonstrate: familiarity with the DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Scanning(ACAS) tool; ability to apply patches and remediation for Microsoft and multiple 3rd party products; skills to research and resolve difficult IA patching problems; ability to perform security virus scans as necessary. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
