Freelance/On-Call Communications Specialist, RemoteOur client, based out of McLean, VA, has on call needs for Communications Specialists. Most opportunities are remote. DescriptionOur client is seeking Communications Specialists to serve as an on-call resource for their Health Strategic Communications team. This is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional with strong customer service skills, excellent writing ability and a passion for improving communication products.The ideal candidate is a versatile writer/editor/communications generalist that will be researching and interviewing subject matter experts at various levels across the organization to gather information and deliver accurate, concise and impactful writing.Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with a variety of subject matter experts to understand advanced technical concepts and develops clear, accurate, and comprehensive communications appropriate for the intended audience.
- Prepares content for multiple delivery channels, modifying content to match the requirements of the given channel and target audience.
- Applies appropriate level of creativity to assignments to draw desired stakeholder attention and interest to content.
- Ensures a high level of quality and consistency in communication products, project scheduling and project execution.
- Manages content development and recommends graphical approaches to depict complex topics.
- Experienced writer/editor/communications specialist.
- A deep understanding and utility with MS Word and section 508 compliance is required.
