Application Security Architect, Irvine, CA 6+ Months Phone + Skype RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead security reviews of architecture & applications Work with software architecture and engineering teams to design/implement security into on-prem/cloud applications Partner with DevOps to design and build scalable and automated security toolsets, processes, and infrastructure as part of CI/CD pipelines Act as an attacker to demonstrate impact and discover vulnerabilities in our infrastructure and applications Be hands-on and able to deep-dive technical security findings and drive effective remediation of security issues Build security tooling for the development lifecycle Develop and deploy tools to assist in modeling, analysis, detection, and prevention of security threats in production systems Design and implement systems to protect customer data Stay current on developments affecting security and privacy policy BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or physics discipline OR 2+ years of professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree Experience designing and implementing security solutions for Microsoft technology applications &websites Experience identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in websites PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Fundamental understanding of network, infrastructure and application security Ability to analyze and design secure network architecture and communications protocols (on-prem & Cloud) Experience securing a large code base (Microsoft technologies) Hands-on experience with Oauth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, MFA Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Security Experience in OWASP Top Ten Vulnerabilities and remediations Experience with automating vulnerability discovery techniques Experience reviewing code changes for security issues (Microsoft technologies) Experience contributing security improvements to existing systems Development experience with at least one modern language such as JavaScript, Python, Ruby, C#, etc. Experience with Identity management and authentication protocols (AuthN, AuthZ) Able to work with little supervision, in a team, and with other teams and their processes Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and teams Desire and ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies and demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
