We are looking for someone excited by the opportunity to take the reins and expand both our virtual and in-person events. We are in growth mode and need someone who is willing to get their hands dirty, define and grow the events program, and bring their passion for connecting people through content, education, and networking opportunities to life.

Responsibilities:
  • This is a brand-new role! We're in the process of defining events at CodeHunter and what the word event means to us. This means you’ll need to hit the ground running and help create a blueprint for each type of event, while simultaneously learning about the company, the current operational flow of events, how content is created and managed, and the ins and outs of Zoom webinars (Zoom is the platform we're currently using). If you’re not familiar with cybersecurity or CodeHunter, you’ll also need to spend some time getting up to speed on real estate jargon and getting acquainted with our brand and online community.
  • Types of virtual events may include but are not limited to educational webinars, value-add virtual events for our paid members, Q&As, and panel discussions with CodeHunter authors or other content creators
  • Types of in-person events may include but are not limited to: our annual conference with 1000+ attendees, in-person networking events across the country
  • This role reports to the Marketing Manager
  • You’ll be working closely with the Publishing GM who heads up all of our content, as well as a few other internal event stakeholders, too. The stakeholder may provide the event strategy, but it’s up to you to make it happen.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to explain and translate complex and often nuanced concepts into simple and intuitive communications
  • Ability to work with C-level executives with a high level of business acumen
  • Ability to self-manage workload against multiple competing priorities and deadlines
  • A genuine love for logistics and collaboration, an infectious positive demeanor, a highly professional attitude, and a proven ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to efficiently create and organize systems from scratch while staying on budget
  • Proven excellence in organizing with an unparalleled tenacity for the little details
  • Tech-savvy and ability to manage the technical aspects of virtual events is necessary
  • Effective communication and cross-team collaboration experience
  • Experience in coordinating with AV companies, event venues and catering divisions, event vendors, event volunteers, and more
  • Ability to speak intelligently on, or authentic interest in various aspects of cybersecurity
  • Desire and ability to stay up to date on large-scale event trends
  • Experience with vendor contract negotiation a plus
  • Preferred experience in performance reporting and analytics after events close

A few more specifics with regards to what you’ll do in this role:

  • Collaborate with our content team and speakers to produce high-quality presentations
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to effectively produce marketing collateral prior to events and to place and produce advertising for all events
  • Act as the representation or liaison for CodeHunter and our speakers, members, and vendors
  • Aid in generating and managing profit and loss statements for all virtual and in-person events
  • Build relationships with key event stakeholders
  • Manage all operations and content coordination for our monthly webinars (2+)
  • Research and brainstorm virtual events (likely quarterly events) for CodeHunter members in each subscription tier
  • Aid in managing many aspects of our annual member conference, including but not limited to implementing and managing the registration software, securing the location and venue, event timeline, catering, AV, and other vendor coordination, as well as preparing presentation PowerPoints, session timing, and agenda, speaker and staff travel, swag bags/attendee gifts, signage, programs, internal event staff training, and more
  • Assist in managing any new smaller event projects from start to finish, as needed
