Windows System Administrator

Provide technical support for customers of the AF Capabilities Integration Environment (CIE). The CIE provides Development and Testing environments for Program Management Offices in support of their application development and deployment engineering process. This individual will be a member of the CIE Infrastructure team and support actions including but not limited to: system administration, installing and configuring COTS applications, installation of various computing and networking hardware components, and server maintenance. The individual should be an experienced engineer, capable of assisting in managing the development and maintenance of Windows OS platforms in a highly virtualized environment.• Develop and design solutions (physical and logical) that are in compliance with best engineering practices• Perform configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Windows environments• System administration• User account management• COTS product installation and support• Server installation, maintenance, and patching• Documenting relevant information for support• Occasional after-hours supportRequired Qualifications:• Must be a US citizen• Secret clearance required• CompTIA Sec+ certification required• 7+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years of experience in Windows system administration. Degree can substitute for some of the experience.• Experience working in virtualized environments• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills• Effective communicator both oral and written• Strong team player, shares knowledge• Should demonstrate drive, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of tasksDesired Qualifications:• 2+ years of RedHat Enterprise Linux systems administration• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, configuration of network services and installation of COTS products• Knowledge of software development principles and design patterns• Working experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments
