Renewable Energy Systems of Alaska is looking for Journeyman Electrician at our Fairbanks location. Solar is a fast growing industry and this is a great opportunity to get training and experience, with the best renewable company in Alaska. You and your apprentice will do grid tie solar systems, backup power, and misc. electrical work.

Renewable Energy Systems of Alaska, located in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Fairbanks; has over 30 years’ experience in providing solar power to Alaskans. Renewable Energy Systems of Alaska is looking to expand our service team by recruiting a Journeyman Electrician. We are a family company that puts our employee’s safety and wellbeing first. Installations for solar PV, backup power, lighting, and miscellaneous electrical work both residential and commercial.

Construction/carpentry background a plus.

Must be motivated and willing to learn, must work well both indoor and outdoor during summer/winter.

Must be comfortable working on ladders and roof tops.

Must be able to lift 70+ pounds

Clean driving record (No DUI/reckless driving in last 5 years)

Must have own hand tools.

Good problem solving skills, service experience, self-motivated, good time management skills.

Lots of room to grow.

Training is provided.

Wages depending on experience and certifications.

Requirements - All applicants must have the following:

1) State of Alaska Electrical Certificate of Fitness

2) minimum 1 year residential electrical (preferred)

3) Good driving record (no DUI or Reckless driving in last 5 years.)

4) Pass basic background check
