Accounts Payable / Inventory Control

Hilfiker Pipe Co., Inc dba Hilfiker Retaining Walls https://www.hilfiker.com is in need of an AP/Inventory Control Specialist. This is a full-time, permanent position, M-F, 8am-5pm. Full benefits are offered 30-90 days after hire including health, dental, vision and life insurance, vacation and sick leave, and 401(k). Knowledge of Accounts Payable and basic accounting required. Experience with Inventory Control preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Must be proficient in all MS Office programs, especially Excel.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - 30% OF THE JOB

Matching purchase orders to receipts and invoices

Reconciling credit card and employee expense reimbursements

Coding invoices to the proper GL account

Entering data into ERP system

Setting up new vendor accounts

Tracking W-9’s and processing annual 1099’s

INVENTORY CONTROL - 70% OF THE JOB

Entering shop time cards into ERP system in order to enter finished goods and backflush raw materials

Regularly taking inventory counts and making adjustments

Creating part numbers as needed

Updating and maintaining job lists

Tracking part and job costing

Working closely with all departments to ensure inventory is accurately issued, purchased, and receipted

The successful candidate should have the ability to:

Investigate discrepancies and make corrections

Problem solve and think creatively

Work independently and prioritize

Learn new software and processes quickly

Compensation starts at $20-22, based on knowledge and experience.
