Sanitation Lead

Position Summary:

The Sanitation Lead is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the Processing facility, surrounding areas and equipment. Lead motivates subordinates to achieve outstanding sanitation results daily. Lead also works hand and hand with supervisors to troubleshoot any deficiencies around the plan. In Addition, the lead is also responsible of giving feed regarding employee work behavior and training needs for the cleaning crew.

Schedule:

2nd Shift: Sunday - Monday 1pm - 9:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

-Be able to run CIPs successful.

-Be able to learn how to pre- op any machine on the daily basis.

-Be able operate pallet jack, forklift, and scissor lift,

-Responsible for effective line cleanup and transition strategies as well as effective repeated plant clean up that assures plant compliance to company and bacteriological standards.

-Knowledge in the use and application of cleaning chemicals, chemical interactions, and material safety data sheets.

-Be responsible for the safety engagement, activities, and performance of the Sanitation employees.

-Enforce lock out/tag out program.

-Enforce and lead cleaning procedures that are carried out by sanitation employees.

-Maintains cleaning documents and ensures master cleaning schedule is being met.

-Participate in post-sanitation inspections prior to releasing machinery, equipment, and facilities to the Quality Assurance department.

-Works closely with Quality Assurance, Production, and Maintenance departments.

Requirements

-Must be able to work independently with moderate supervision

-Must have a production/sense of urgency mindset

-Punctuality and consistency in job duties and standard procedures

-Must be able to stand, sit, bend and be able to lift up to 50lbs/continuous motion

-Experience working in a warehouse environment

-Will be working in chilled work space with temperatures <40F

-Will be required to work in a wet environment

-At least one year experience leading a team
