JSM is a vastly growing leasing and development firm hiring for a full-time Services I located in Champaign, IL. This opening offers a rare opportunity to join a growing organization and a department focused on personal and career development. Our excellent Services team ensures our properties are well maintained on the exterior and interior, which creates a welcoming environment for our tenants.

Under direct supervision from the Services Manager, the Services I will complete all commercial and residential landscaping and grounds keeping operations. The Services I will also assist with painting, furniture and appliance installation, and demolition projects. The essential job functions are listed below:

Maintain the appearance of all JSM related properties through re-occurring grounds keeping functions.

Complete landscaping projects as assigned by the Services Manager including planting, mulching, installations, and creating beds.

Assist with power washing the exterior of residential and commercial properties.

Assist in company-wide snow removal by shoveling, snow blowing and salting specific properties.

Assist with painting and drywall projects. This may include, but is not limited to, painting, sanding, mudding, taping, repairing surfaces, etc.

Assist with the removal and installation of furniture and appliances.

Assist with construction and demolition projects as needed.

Utilize power tools to complete basic construction tasks.

Maintain electronic records by documenting project related time, labor, and materials

Minimum qualifications requested of this position include: high school diploma or equivalent, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, professional attitude, appearance, attire, and language, a valid Illinois Driver’s License, able to work independently, and able to work in a multi-task environment.

Our Services I must be people-oriented, well-organized, attentive to detail, and self-motivated. Ideal candidates will have prior experience with operating heavy equipment (skid-steer loader, plowing, etc.) and general knowledge of demolition and painting.

The Services I position requires on-call availability after hours and is required to work during elevated times for the department.

Hourly wage will be based on prior experience and will include full benefits (vacation, sick, holiday, 401(k) with matching contribution and health, dental, and vision insurance).
