Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement defined programs around Talent Planning, Career Development planning, Organizational Design, Leadership Development, Diversity, and HR initiatives.
  • Embed yourself with business leaders and their departments to coach, mentor, and work with managers and leaders to navigate the development of their teams. This includes manager coaching, succession planning, organizational development, etc.
  • Provide coaching on employee relations issues to drive positive outcomes. Conduct investigations and manage the separation process as required.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the client group for a wide range of inquiries from managers and employees, including but not limited to: leaves of absence, internal mobility, company-wide communications, employee development, etc.
  • Lead or work as part of a team on a variety of projects from concept through implementation
  • Work with the client group to successfully deploy year-end talent reviews, promotions, and merit increase cycle. In addition, serves as an advisor on compensation-related activities.
  • Work with HR and client group to provide metrics and reporting.
  • Effectively partner with various functional leaders and People team members.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in an HR Generalist/ 5+ years HR Business Partner role with a wide range of functional experience. Experience in the Biotech industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrates HR experience as a strategic, senior leadership partner, across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience supporting or successfully rolling out HR projects and programs.
  • Experience conducting investigations and managing employee relations activities.
  • Problem solving capabilities with ability to apply judgment and make decisions.
  • Ability to process complex transactions with focus on quality and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently, while contributing to team initiatives.
  • Strong facilitation and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with diverse client groups.
  • Experience working with organizations with progressive HR programs & practices, HR Operations, compensation and L&D/OD teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be an articulate and persuasive communicator.
  • Displays strong business acumen – sees the big picture and operates with perspective
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies up to 20 lbs and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposed to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
