About the Standard & Verification Team:

The Standards and Verification team at the Non-GMO Project is responsible for maintaining the integrity of our Standard and the Product Verification Program (PVP). We stay up to date on developments in the world of GMOs, support our Technical Administrators in administering our Standard, and facilitate the overall quality assurance of our programs. Our team is a cross-section of scientists, researchers, standard implementation virtuosos, maestros of quality, manufacturing industry veterans, and solution seekers. We’re skilled at wading through the details, interpreting and synthesizing complex information, speaking industry language and using our expertise to ensure the Non-GMO Project Standard continues to deliver a reliable solution for maintaining brand and product integrity in the food supply chain. What We’re Looking For

We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented person who is equipped to serve as an administrative hub for our Product Verification Program (PVP), providing direct support to the PVP Technical Implementation Manager. This looks like document and data preparation and organization, supporting the flow of information to key external and internal stakeholders and maintaining our robust online web portal. All of these tasks are essential to maintaining our strong partnership with our Technical Administrators (TAs) who we contract with to administer the technical elements of the Product Verification Program. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who enjoys working independently and collaboratively to juggle multiple projects, easily adjusts to evolving priorities and deadlines and is comfortable tracking, organizing and communicating complex information.

Areas of Responsibility

-Provide administrative support for activities related to the implementation of the Product Verification Program (PVP)

-Support the development and execution of efficient and effective implementation practices related to the Non-GMO Project Standard

-Assist in the creation and updating of standardized program documents using Word, Google Docs, Adobe, Excel, Google Sheets, or other document creation tools

-Prepare, proofread, format, and dissemination draft documents for communication and release

-Organize, maintain, and update the web portal content, design, and permissions for our Technical Administrators (TAs) to ensure access to and efficient delivery of guidance, tools, and resources

-Ensure written materials and related documentation for PVP implementation are efficiently organized and accessible

-Track and communicate alignment of content in PVP implementation collateral and related documentation through information mapping, cross-referencing and document control

-Coordinate and track reports from our TAs related to the implementation of the Standard; assist with analysis as needed

-Complete special projects related to programmatic improvement as needs arise

-As needed, assist the Standards and Verification Director with strategic initiatives with administrative and logistical support

-Familiar with the GMO issue, and sincerely interested in helping to protect the future of the North American food supply

-Able to work on-site in Bellingham, WA at least 2 days a week

-Committed to and engaged with issues of social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusiveness

Experience You Bring

-Excellent Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills, specifically Word or Docs and spreadsheets

-Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Google tools (Slides, Drawings, Groups, Sites, etc.), databases, and/or similar digital solutions

-Experience in manufacturing/supply chain or working with standards or certification bodies is a plus, but not required
