The Cath Lab RN is a health care professional that, through the utilization of specialized equipment and under the direction of a qualified cardiologist, performs procedures on adult patients resulting in accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart and/or peripheral vascular disease while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

| Education, Credentials, Licenses: Must be RN, licensed in the state where work is being performed

BSN, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)certified |
| Specialized Knowledge: CPR certification, ACLS certification ECG rhythm interpretation, and knowledge of critical care medications |
Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and IABP |
| Kind and Length of Experience: Two years critical care nursing experience |
Previous Cath lab experience. |
