Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for aJava Developer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Alpharetta, GA. Responsibilities :

  • The Global Banking Technology team is looking for a Java Developer to join our technologically advanced team focusing on developing and enhancing the Lending Platform.
  • Full stack development experience using Java/Angular UI
  • Design and development of scalable resilient financial systems.
  • Produce high quality maintainable code.
  • Work as part of a banking Agile Squad
  • Design and development of Java applications as well as multi-tier Java EE style applications in the finance technology supporting all lending business lines
  • Collaborate with other team members through peer programming and code reviews.
  • Interact with traders, quantitative modelers and other business users. Working in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally. Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies
Required Skills:
  • 5-7 years of hands on experience on Java and spring boot applications.
  • 4-5 years of proven experience in Angular, CSS and UI front end applications.
  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Candidate must have significant expertise in design and development of core Java applications as well as multi-tiered Java EE-style applications.
  • To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities with proprietary system builds.
  • Working knowledge of Spring, REST API
  • Experience in the Databases Design, Development, SQL, PL/SQL and Tuning (preferably DB2)
  • Good communication skills, should be able to work across both Business Users and IT teams across regions and have the ability to lead IT deliverables
  • Experience working in agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of requirements of large enterprise applications (security, entitlements, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and/or any scripting language
  • Working knowledge of Financial market, lending based products and Wealth Management.
  • Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development environment
  • Candidate should be fluent in related technologies including Spring, databases, database interface layers, web protocols and standards, web browser display technologies (Angular) and associated Java development tools.
