The position will be located in Silver Spring, MD. This position will serve as an experienced professional Instructional Systems Designer, responsible for planning, developing and possibly delivering training technical programs on the NISC III program. Duties may include analyzing training needs and developing programs to address them; providing consultation and recommendations to customers on innovative training solutions, as well as on effective and relevant curriculum development and delivery for the FAA; creating asynchronous and synchronous instruction designed for a distributed learning environment; working with instructors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), instructional technologists, and multimedia developers to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate distributed learning solutions; creating storyboards, scripts, scenario-based instruction, and other advanced learning strategies to meet the needs of the learners; providing expertise in the creation of processes, and implementation of distributed learning; performing the actual detailed development of course materials or courseware, as well as product testing, and maintenance. May also provide train-the-trainer programs and qualify trainers for content delivery. Bachelors and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience. Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting of customer-ready materials. Previous experience collecting, compiling, analyzing and synthesizing learner/customer feedback, test data, and program evaluations to determine workforce performance needs, curriculum design/development and learning solutions. Ability to demonstrate an application of cognitive science and human factors engineering that apply to the design of training. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, MS Visio, and Adobe products.Driven by our talented workforce, the Exploration and Mission Support Operation builds trust through the delivery of enduring solutions for our customers' information technology and mission support needs.
