ASSYST is looking for a senior-level Systems Engineering Manager to work from our client location in McClellan Park, CA.

Scope of Work: Leads a team in the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of IT systems. Has technical knowledge of networks, operating systems, applications, and utilities and the ability to evaluate and determine computing resource requirements for ongoing and future IT projects. Leads team of engineers in the design, installation, configuration, and optimization of IT systems based on evolving requirements. Provide system and engineering support for documented and approved projects and tasks. Ensure all engineered solutions are in compliance with DISA STIGs and DoD policies and standards. Ensure engineered solutions are designed to maintain highest practical availability and service dependability. Maintain existing and, as required, develop new documentation including SOPs and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards. Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation. Work collaboratively with Stakeholders, PMO and EA during requirement analysis to develop technical solution options. Establish and meet project milestones and deliverables.This position will be supporting the Department of Defense Information Assurance, Operations and Compliance,Systems and Technology Division.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee management of CISCO Network systems, ensure Compliance with changing DoD security requirements, support Custom application and system development and support, and manage server software installation and upgrades.
  • Support Computer/network systems support, computer network defense, trouble reporting, vulnerability management and patching, Continuous Monitoring, information center support, technical and computer equipment maintenance support, internet, and intranet development and support.
  • Support numerous commercial, DoD supplied, and internally developed software applications for current and legacy systems.
  • Conduct a complete assessment of all components using automated tools and manual review methods and vulnerabilities will be identified, verified, and documented to include suggested mitigation actions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of security experience in system(s) functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
  • Thorough understanding of CISCO Network systems, networking (TCP/IP, Ports, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP), Switch / Router configuration, and Security
  • CCNA certification
  • CSSP Infrastructure (CEH, CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND)
  • IAT II certified (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • SECRET Clearance
