Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:To provide support for the
SAP EWMsystems. This includes design, configuration, testing, documenting, delivery, reporting and support of software solutions relating to the transactions associated with these processes, including moderate knowledge of related content for additional SAP software components installed at Foster Farms.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Will provide primary end user support for the
SAP EWM systems. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of end user problems as well as performing routine system maintenance checks and corrective actions.Will contribute to ongoing system improvement efforts. This includes collecting requirements from business users, researching available solutions, developing and documenting conceptual design alternatives, communicating effectively conceptual designs, writing technical specifications and coordinating development work with ABAP development staff, building and configuring prototypes and prototype documentation, communicating to and educating business users, conducting unit testing, conducting and coordinating integration and user acceptance testing, working with security team to ensure appropriate system authorization, migrating to production, preparing comprehensive and thorough design and training documentation, training subject matter experts, providing post-implementation support efforts interacting regularly with end users, engaging in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production issues, and providing continuous improvements to all aspects of design and processes.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Additional duties as assigned by the IT project lead/manager/director.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:The candidate will be a member of the Business Systems Team. This employee will be required to further develop sufficient
SAP skills in other functional areas to support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.As the Business Systems Team provides 24X7X365 support to the business, this employee will join the support rotation and will be assigned evening (typically 3 nights per month) and weekend (typically one weekend every 8 weeks) support shifts.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Must be capable of working to a structured work plan with aggressive milestones and have strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making ability
Must be highly goal and results oriented
Must be highly self-motivated and driven – must be capable and willing to learn complex systems with minimal supervision
Experience with developing business requirements
Experience learning and documenting complex business processes
Project experience is beneficial
Must be able to communicate effectively with varying levels of management and team members, both written and verbal
Excellent technical skills (e.g. SAP, MS Office suite, MS Project, programming, etc.)
This position will require possession or development of specific skills, knowledge and experience with the
SAP system, specifically the EWM module. Experience with non-SAP systems is also desired.Familiarity with
SAP supply chain, warehousing and distribution processes and document flow is beneficialBasic understanding of the
SAP system’s roles, interfaces and standard contentAdditional Information
