POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:The Executive Director serves as the accountable senior leader of the California Community Colleges Technology Center (CCCTC) supporting the mission of the California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) and overseeing the delivery of services directly to the 73 districts,116 colleges, and over 3 million students of the California Community College system. The CCCTC is a grant-funded service division of the Butte-Glenn Community College District (BGCCD). Operationally the division reports to the CCCCO Vice Chancellor for Digital Infrastructure and Innovation (DII). Administratively the division reports to the BGCCD Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness. The division has a complement of approximately 100 personnel, managing over $40M in annual state grants. This high-visibility role works closely with stakeholders at government, academic, college administration, and operational levels to ensure the CCCTC develops and maintains the correct set of technologies and support services necessary to promote student success and cost effective operations across the California Community College (CCC) system. The scope of CCCTC services include but are not limited to: wide area networking across the CCC, software development and operations for cloud-hosted system-wide applications, data services, data standards, data exchange mechanisms, curriculum management systems, student information system integrations, and federated identity. Candidates will have an eye for emerging opportunities and creative solutions, supporting system-wide improvements in equity, accessibility, availability, interoperability, and security, across a diverse and sometimes conflicting collection of constituents. Candidates will have the ability to form coalitions across diverse teams to support problem solving and build advocacy for new solutions. At the local organization level, candidates will drive toward organizational maturity and demonstrate a management philosophy which fosters innovation and supports the development of cohesive leadership teams through coaching and guidance, while progressively building trust through accountability and operational transparency. PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
  • The successful applicant will be required to complete a medical history questionnaire and must agree to undergo and pass a pre-employment physical examination, based on the physical requirements of the position, prior to employment.   • Education Code § 87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he or she is free of active tuberculosis.
