IT technicians diagnose computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs. Technicians may also set up computer equipment, schedule maintenance and teach clients to use programs. Other job duties can include minor repairs and computer parts ordering.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of end user computing devices on Windows network
- Monitoring, taking ownership and resolving of ticket queues via IT service desk in a timely manner
- Diagnose desktop hardware and software issues
- Onboarding/offboarding users
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support to users
- Assists in maintaining network documentation.
- Assist in managing application servers and end user computing devices
- Assist in management of classified systems
- Assist in creating and maintaining information technology policies, standards, and guidelines
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
- Supporting other team members to resolve issues
- Performs all other duties as required, requested, or needed.
- Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance. Clearances are granted to U.S. Citizens.
- 3 + years of experience with the following:
- Microsoft Active Directory administration
- Microsoft Exchange
- Window’s Client OS’s and Applications
- VOIP technologies
- TCP/IP
- Network hardware and cabling installation
- Windows Server management
- Knowledge of or prior experience with NIST Security Framework and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of or experience with M365/Microsoft Office
- Experience creating and maintaining information technology policies, standards, and guidelines
- 4-year degree in Information Technology or similar field of study
- Technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco)
- Good customer service, organizational and time management skills
- Experience performing technical support for user-facing or End User Computing
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Experience working with end users domestically and internationally
