Job Description

Position Summary

Manages the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) process and activities which meets the business requirements in service, quality, and innovation. Must demonstrate industry-leading knowledge and expertise in Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning of Raw Materials, Manufacturing and Distribution processes and systems as well as Demand and Supply forecasting techniques. Deals with planning based upon rates of sales and production, and aggregate inventories and backlog. Assists Sales, Marketing and Operations with statistical analysis of leading indicators and market trends.

Responsibilities

  • Works with all entities in the Supply Chain to set inventory performance goals based on corporate inventory/working capital goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring min/max roll up (from the Reps to the factories) to support the achievement of corporate inventory/working capital goals in a multi-plant/service center environment.
  • Analyzing forecast, vendor & logistics performance for appropriate Kanban levels for purchased items.
  • Determining appropriate levels of safety stock for purchased items based on demand variability and applying appropriate service level factor from a Z-score table.
  • Mitigate known and potential supply chain disruptions by appropriately analyzing supply, demand, and forecast.
  • Develops policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure inventory accuracy/control.
  • Effectively prepare and report out to executive leadership.
  • Maintains and distributes performance reports for key inventory and delivery management metrics, root cause countermeasure as applicable.
  • Minimize excess and obsolete inventory within the Supply Chain.
  • Responsible for creating/changing tools needed to perform the above tasks.
  • Identify, create, and implement SOPs, as necessary.
  • Plays critical role in the planning, execution and management of annual physical inventory and cycle count program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting including experience in production, warehouse/stockroom management, scheduling, MRP and/or materials management.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, primarily Excel (Tableau preferred) and Access.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem resolution skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX09 or other ERP software, preferred.
  • Strong lean manufacturing skills, green belt certification preferred.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), a plus.
  • Customer Driven Sense of Urgency.
  • Must have ability to lead, train, and drive change.
  • Data driven, fact-based decision making.
