#6495Seeking a Senior IT Project Manager in the Goleta, CA area for a 1 year contract position.Looking for a Senior Project Manager to Lead the implementation of ERP & financial software. Strong understanding of hospitals, healthcare and financials. Ability to manage multiple project disciplines, 3rd Party implementation Partner and internal project teams. Proven track record of working this type of project. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.This is a 12-month project with strong possibility of multiple extensions. This is an onsite role and expenses for travel will be covered. PMP is requested but not mandatory.

The senior project manager works closely with management to identify optimal project structure, identify tasks and ensure assignment and timely completion of tasks, coordinate communication within the team and to the organization, address issues, manage scope and quality, report project progress, maintain budget accountability, and coordinate all other tasks as needed for successful and timely completion of projects assigned.Major Accountabilities / Specific Job CompetenciesThis is not an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities, or requirements. - Possesses overall knowledge of tasks to be done and techniques to be used to manage projects.
- Together with management, defines the requirements of projects then plans deliverables and tasks (including task assignment) as required to meet those requirements.
- Creates and maintains all project documentation as needed and required for successful completion of projects assigned to them.
- Manages the day-to-day activities of all projects assigned to them, including team meetings, resource management, measurement of project progress, revision of plans/tasks, and issues resolution.
- Makes timely decisions to assure efficient project progress and improve probability of meeting deadlines.
- Facilitates communication and discussion; creates and provides status reporting to the project teams, sponsors, steering committees, and ISD management.
- Takes initiative to proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
- Manage scope, time, cost, and quality of projects.
- Identify resources and manage resources to deliver projects on time.
- Manage project issues and escalate issues when necessary.
- Must be able to lead and motivate teams; needs a good understanding of motivational techniques since project team members may not report directly to the project manager even though the project manager is responsible for assuring their work is done well and in a timely fashion.
- Must be organized, thorough, and disciplined.
- Must be comfortable setting and meeting deadlines.
