Sr. Analyst, IT PMO needed for a long-term contract opportunity. Can sit in either Brisbane or Novato, CA and possibility of 1-2 days remote/week. JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Analyst, IT PMO, will play a key role in establishing and facilitating adherence to processes, standards, and templates for delivering a large portfolio of IT projects. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Project Management, Process Management and Release Management for IT systems. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that systems integration and implementation projects carried out by IT teams are delivered against common standards while ensuring quality and compliance.

  • Work as the IT PMO lead to facilitate usage, adoption and adherence to IT project / portfolio management standards and methodologies, for supporting cross-functional stakeholders from IT and other departments.
  • Lead the creation and publishing of IT project / portfolio management roadmap, processes, guidelines, tools, templates, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide support, and inputs to IT Project managers working on executing IT Projects and initiatives geared towards IT systems implementation, integration, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Administer IT project portfolio utilizing a cloud-based IT project management system. This will also require conceptualizing, configuring, and rolling out system enhancements to improve the cloud-based IT project management system.
  • Review and refine project plans, status reports, project charters, and other project management deliverables on a regular basis to identify avenues for improvement. Escalate as necessary to ensure compliance with IT PMO processes and guidelines.
  • Train IT project managers to ensure that they are well conversant with the PMO processes, project methodologies and can deliver consistently across the portfolio.
  • Create, analyze, and share project management metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Work with the broader team to respond flexibly and adaptively to the system needs of the business / system users, with a focus on continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Project Management or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working with IT PMO function on complex IT programs or IT organizations.
  • 2+ year of hands-on Project Management experience preferred.
  • Hands on experience in administering or configuring Sciforma or similar IT project management tool.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to facilitate and align multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills required for requirements analysis and troubleshooting / triaging of issues.
  • Highly self-motivated and adopts a result driven approach.
  • Basic understanding of out of box applications, SaaS systems and databases preferred.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical domain preferred.
