Washington, Seattle-tacoma , 98101 Seattle-tacoma USA

Vacancy expired!

Scampers Daycamp for Dogs on 124th St in Kirkland is looking for Rock Solid Dog Wrangling and Boarding staff, for morning, afternoon and evening shifts, on weekdays and weekends. If you're available right away, you can start right away.

If you love dogs and think you can handle working with a great number of them in a pack environment, possess lots of positive energy, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team.

We need a boarding specialist for weekend morning shifts, providing care for our overnight guests including feeding and medicating carefully following our customers' instructions, monitoring the dogs during free play, and reporting to our customers as their dogs enjoy their time at Scampers. This shift would work well for someone with Kennel Tech experience, but we are happy to train the right individuals for these shifts.

The afternoon and evenings shifts would work well for college students who have afternoons and evenings available around classwork and homework, and would like to work with dogs. We welcome people of all backgrounds. We only ask that you treat the dogs with love and kindness, treat our customers with consideration and respect, and that you're willing to work hard as a member of a tight-knit team, and stay busy, and that you have a rock-solid work ethic.

You will be a member of a team monitoring a group of dogs and maintaining a safe and clean play environment.

Wranglers and boarding specialists will also be participating in all the cleaning tasks - vacuuming, mopping, washing walls, etc.

Some notes on working with us:

- Remember that rock-solid work ethic we talked about? It's important! If you're on the schedule, it's because you are a crucial member of a carefully assembled team working to keep everyone (canines and humans) safe.

- Reliability is an absolute must - whether you commute by bus, car or Uber doesn't matter, but we need you to get to your shift - every time, on time!

- Dog wrangling is a physically demanding job. You will be on your feet all day. There are moments of strenuous work between long periods of quiet, but you must be able to stay focused. You need to be prepared to run, but also have fun.

If this sounds like a career you'd like to pursue, print and submit your application (link to the printable pdf: http://www.scampersdogs.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Scampers-Employment-Application.pdf ), or send us your resume with a cover letter describing why you'd be a good fit for Scampers.
