Job Description

Position Overview

Set up, operate, and adjust various types of manual or automatic machines under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and operates production machines and required gauging in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery
  • Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion
  • Works under general supervision
  • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish production targets
  • High degree of latitude and creativity and independence is required
  • Check all work for Quality
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

  • Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job

Qualifications

Experience and Skill Required

  • High School diploma or GED, Vo-Tech or other manufacturing education helpful
  • 4 years of manufacturing experience preferred, operation and assembly of mechanical parts
  • CNC Program editing and the ability to program a job is preferred,not required
  • Ableto thrive in fast pace environment
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Manufacturing terminology knowledge
  • Basic technical competency
  • Computer literate
  • Ableto drive and operate machinery
  • Ableto use measuring devices (ie. tape measurers and calipers)
  • Teamwork
  • Initiative and problem solving
