Metis is seeking a motivated Software Engineering student to join our team for a part-time internship. This position supports and independent research project in computer vision and collaborative mapping for robotics.Duties

  • Design and support highly scalable and fault tolerant codes
  • Design and implement new subsystems that you will integrate into larger collaborative systems used for research of particular aerospace features
  • Apply innovative ideas to improve software infrastructure and application performance
  • Work with team members and other engineers to define new applications and capabilities
  • Work in a team environment as well as autonomously
    • Qualifications
  • Pursing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
  • Proficient in network protocols and debugging/troubleshooting skills
  • Comfortable using Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design and problem solving
  • Familiar with software lifecycle processes
  • Good skill level of Atlassian software management tools (Git, Jira, Confluence)
    • Additional Desired Skills
  • Strong programming C/C, Java, and Python skills
  • Good fundamental understanding of Artificial intelligence modeling
  • Good handle of machine learning modeling
  • Clear in communication and easy to collaborate in a growing team.
