Title: Sr UI/UX DesignerContract: 1 year (possible extension)Location: San Francisco CA 94105 or Austin, TX 73301 (Remote for now)Start Date: ASAPNo C2C/Corp-to-CorpMust be authorized to work in US without restriction or sponsorshipResponsibilities:Design Contribution Facilitates collaborative design sessions including sketching and ideation. Delivers and contributes in the design process for the duration of a project. Participates in user research and feedback; uses insights to inform iterative design process. Translates user needs and business requirements into the potential design of multi-platform solutions (e.g., responsive web, native applications, desktop applications, wearables, chatbots); deliverables may include scenarios, sketches, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, motion studies, mock-ups, specifications and prototypes. Can lead design reviews and drive decisions. Can effectively "sell" design solutions to partners through design storytelling and by demonstrating traceability in the design thinking. Represents the design team brand, and deliver a consistent design process to partners. Visualize ideas in a clear form (sketch, diagram, wireframe or prototype) and provide appropriate level documentation. Design Management Assists in setting expectations with the product team and prioritize activities. Maintains and meet design schedules. Communicate status and agreements with project or product team. Review work with UX managers on regular basis, keeps them updated on project status and escalates items appropriately within Sprints and team ceremonies. Design Expertise and Execution . Conducts the primary design activities, create deliverables and conduct QA at an expert level. Teamwork, Collaboration and Engagement Work well with all partners to deliver work. Strategically listen to feedback and help guide the delivery Has a design position but is not rigidly fixed when presented with new information. Empathy & Curiosity Understand user needs, walking in their shoes when possible. Focus on innovation and improvement. Regularly learns more about design theory, practice and tools.Skills: 6-10 + years of rich interaction design focused on digital products. Web and mobile experience An online portfolio demonstrating interaction design process and thinking Experience with Chat or Voice helpful but not required Experienced with all aspects of a user-centered interaction design process, including user research, developing user flows, creating wireframes, conducting usability tests and creating annotated design specifications. Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an Agile development methodology. Strong self-management skills, comfortable with substantial responsibility, working directly with our client partners, and capable of managing your project schedules. Proficient in one or more design tools: Sketch, Omnigraffle, Axure and Mural Experience running design sessions with cross-functional teams
