HR Manager

— Job Summary —

Clear Construction is a growing general contracting company specializing in high-end residential construction serving Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. The primary role of the HR Manager is to develop and implement the company’s human resources strategies and initiatives through recruitment and hiring new team members, benefits and leave administration, performance management, employee relations and engagement, and policy development and documentation.

— Responsibilities —

- Recruiting, hiring and new employee onboarding and orientation

- Benefits administration, including health and dental insurance, 401K, PTO and sick time and employee bonuses

- Employee reviews and performance management

- Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws

- OSHA safety training

- Employee discipline and terminations

- Cultivate staff development and company culture

- Develop and implement company policies and procedures

- Formulate and recommend human resources programs and objectives for a growing company

— Job Requirements and Skills —

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources position

- Knowledge of Federal and California employment law

- Experience in compensation, organizational planning and development, employee and labor relations

- Excellent leadership and training skills

- Excellent written communication skills, including the use of correct grammar and spelling

- Excellent oral communication skills, exemplified by a clear and persuasive manner of speaking

- Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and word-processing program knowledge

- Strong ability to multi-task

- Exceptional organization and effective time management skills

- Strong interpersonal skills to avoid conflict and encourage communication

- Professionalism in all situations, including reacting well under pressure and following through on commitments

- Commitment to high standards of quality, including an unwavering attention to detail
