Job Description

Pyrotek's Business Analyst willprovide business analytical support to the division and operations managers to increase efficiency and profitability by conducting complex financial analysis to determine present and future performance, and profitability.

Candidate will be responsible for analyzing Pyrotek's business model and finances and use their findings to make suggestions for improvement regarding everything from budget, pricing and operations to management.

This important liaisonwill collaboratewith Sales, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain and Finance bytapping into valuable analytical deliverables to improve business decisions. This team member will be finance-focused.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Analyze product and product line costing and pricing and make recommendations to management on pricing strategies. Partner with management communicate and execute pricing direction to sales team.
  • Assess incoming sales orders and look for organizational efficiency opportunities through various strategies optimizing order quantity, packing, order consolidation, part standardization.
  • Review sales bookings for pricing improvement opportunities
  • Assist divisions with inventory management analysis (turns, slow/non-moving, etc.)
  • Analyze IBT shipping cost for items inventoried and sold
  • Partner with manufacturing to determine optimal minimum order quantities for low volume sales items.
  • Analyze items with quantity break pricing structure to determine if there is a true cost break and make recommendation to adjust pricing.
  • Analyze one off purchase part customer specific sales working with supply chain and sales to identify alternatives to consolidated purchases.
  • Collect and maintain performance metrics and analyzes data to make recommendations for financial and business process improvements.
  • Design and develop processes to monitor and measure business performance, coordinate with stakeholders to define and improve standards, processes,procedures and productivity.
  • Prepare and provide performance related presentations and reports.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in business management, accounting, or economics with five years of data analysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Preferred.

Computer/Applications Skills. Proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, and MS Power BI. Advanced MS Excel, skills required. Basic programming and data modeling skills required to develop analytical tools.

Analytical Skills. Ability to create and present effective analytical reports using advanced statistical knowledge and formal problem-solving methodologies to improve business decisions.

Business Knowledge. Understanding of macroeconomics, microeconomics, financial accounting, managerial accounting, financial markets, and financial institutions.

Must be able to sit for long periods-of-time, bend and reach, use stairs, lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and communicate effectively in English by telephone, in person and in writing. Effectively use a personal computer, office equipment and telephone.

Working EnvironmentWhile performing the essential responsibilities of this position, team member will generally work in an office environment. Occasionally, team member will work in a warehouse, manufacturing, or casting environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat and cold environmental conditions, as well as exposed molten aluminum. Work in these environments may require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
