Job Description

Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our Quality team as a Supplier Quality Engineer in Clarion, IA. This position is responsible for achieving Quality goals and objectives. Supervises hourly quality technicians and field ready employees who perform inspections, and product audits of parts and products produced by a unit to ensure that the goals are achieved. Also establishes, analyzes and expedites the processing of customer satisfaction information throughout a particular unit and other units that use the data.

Essential Functions-

  • Coordinates and facilitates DPARs, PFMEAs, PPAPs, ISIRs, and IOR for supplier parts at targeted QPL level outlined by factory
  • Coordinates and supports Supplier process capability assessments and facilitates the deployment ofsupplier development
  • Integrates and executes Quality activities with PDP-LT for new product programs – may be shared with other quality resources
  • Prioritizes Field Issues and high QIT issues associated with supplier quality and facilitates execution
  • Provides quality perspectives in sourcing decisions including awarding business and reassigningbusiness within the supply base.

Education/Relevant Work Experience: Competencies, technical skills, formal education, and relevant work experience critical for successful individual performance of all essential functions

· Degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Science, or Math discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent. Or ten years of relevant experience within Hagie Manufacturing group in lieu of a degree.

· Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and

tolerancing. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

· Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical

· Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.

· Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total

preventative maintenance and facilities. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the

knowledge with assistance.

· Understands the impact of quality on lean manufacturing. - Has a general understanding of the

principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.

· Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques. (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts

and control plans.) - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.

· Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style. - Has a general

understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.

· Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability,

design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. - Less than 1 year

· Experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management. - 1 - 3 years

Qualifications
