Quality Engineer

Job Description

Hagie Manufacturing is seeking a qualified candidate to be part of our quality team as a Quality Engineer in Clarion, IA. This position is responsible for supporting assembly floor & meet Customer expectations on delivery and quality of all products. Also, responsible for implementation of corporate and plant quality procedures, and work closely with team members from Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to address Non-conformances and improve overall line efficiency.

• Support the floor with day-to-day Quality Issues
• Compile weekly quality reports & metrics
• Facilitate weekly Quality Meeting and work with cross functional teams to resolve Non-conformances
• Work with Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to resolve supplier quality issues affecting the floor & prevent line down condition
• Ensure tools are calibrated in a timely manner
• Facilitate Quality Audits
• Support New Product Introduction and assist with the creation of Line & Field Ready Checklists
• Support Incoming Inspection Process

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or 5 years of relevant Manufacturing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills
• Familiarity with Data Analysis tools, such as Excel pivot tables and Minitab
• Knowledgeable of SPC, FMEA, Control plans , Gage R&R, Kaizen, Poke-Yoke techniques & change Management
• Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality. - Less than 1 year
