Mechanic / Shop Assistant

Top Responsibilities:

- Assist in shop with routine jobs such as mower blade sharpening

- Help maintain clean work areas and shop

- Take care of building and grounds

- Pickup parts and equipment

Shop Assistant:

- General cleaning of shop areas

- Fill fuel cans, trucks, equipment

- Sharpen mower blades

- Pick-up parts and supplies

- Transport trucks and equipment to crews or outside repair shops

- Light routine repair/maintenance such as oil changes

- Clean equipment and vehicles

- Safety awareness and support

Building and Grounds:

- Maintain over all presentation of grounds

- Basic care of building, Custodian

- Supervise/Arrange larger repair and maintenance jobs for building

- Maintain lighting, timers

This job requires a valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be willing to acquire or obtain a valid DOT certificate. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening. A.M. Services is a drug-free environment.
