Maintenance Mechanicswill perform skilled service, maintenance, and repair work on company equipment. Work requires a high degree of technical knowledge, as well as the ability to exercise independent judgment in determining repair methods. Work may include performing preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical problems, and servicing heavy equipment. Assignments may increase in scope and responsibility as increased knowledge and work skill is attained. Performs other maintenance and facilities related work as required.

Requirements:

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Previous manufacturing work experience in a related occupation required

Must be able to adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures

Must be able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Must be able to follow written and verbal instruction

Must be able to read work instructions

Must be able to effectively communicate

Must have working knowledge of machining/machine repair/lift truck repair, industrial electricity, electronics, fabrication/fluid power and combustion

Must be able to operate a powered industrial truck

Must complete required course work with maintenance wage plan

Must have the ability to work with electronic data system(s); (ERP, CMMS, Intranet, etc.)

Must be able to physically work in an extreme heat stress environment with exposure to molten metal, dust and fumes and ability to wear respirator and other personal protective equipment required for the position

Must be physically capable of performing heavy manual duties, operate a variety of machinery and equipment and wear required personal protective equipment
