job summary:Our client is looking for an AutoCAD Specialist for a permanent position in the West Sacramento area. The Drafting Specialist/Drafting Project Coordinator operates CAD system and peripheral equipment while applying judgement and making decisions with respect to project drawings and input interpretation. They will develop increased proficiency in system operations with a resulting increase in productivity. Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information. ? Prepare or coordinate preparation of shop drawings for submittals and panel drawings for production in an efficient and timely manner. ? Work from a set of contract drawings, design calculations and precast erection drawings to prepare or coordinate the preparation of panel drawings for production. Gathers information from multiple sources to complete detailed, accurate and comprehensive panel drawings. ? Perform quality control checks for panel manufacturing as required. ? Perform quantity take-offs and inventory control of materials. ? Determine sequence of drafting processes and priorities to meet expedited production schedule requirements. ? Troubleshoot contract drawings and internal drawings to determine what information is not provided or shown, but is needed to complete tasks, to make products more efficient or to expedite schedule. ? Perform routine to complex assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of computer aided drafting system standards, practices and techniques along with a thorough knowledge of precast framing and detailing. ? Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to gather information to incorporate into final drawings. ? Lead project team by managing, directing and scheduling the work of project drafters assigned to the job. ? Coordinate and communicate regularly with internal and external customers to insure smooth flow of information. Take steps to acquire information, remove project roadblocks and maintain project momentum. ? Review deliverables prepared by drafters to confirm accuracy and adherence to client's standards. Perform check prints of deliverables prior to releasing drawings for fabrication. ? Assist with standardization initiatives and standardization maintenance. ? Other duties as assigned. qualifications:- Experience level: Entry Level
