Job Title - USDA Foods Program Coordinator - State AgencyJob Location - Ontario, CA, 91761Job Start Date - 10 May 2021Job End Date - 05 Nov 2021 - Contract to Hire Job ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Senior Vice President - Business Strategy & Government Relations, the USDA Foods Program Coordinator, works directly with the State Agency and Recipient Agencies to provide value added services that result in maximum utilization of entitlement monies and brown box USDA Foods by all Recipient Agencies. Utilize available data to conduct analyses and provide recommendations to improve overall services. •Collaborate with the State Agency on the management of the USDA Foods Programo Conduct monthly meetings with the State Agency, create agendas, and supply follow-up notes after each meeting outlining tasks and due dates •Manage all aspect of the USDA Foods Program for the State Agencyo Maintain member district entitlement, TLS data, and direct delivery inventorieso Maintain inventory of USDA Direct Delivery Foods. Create Annual PO's for receipt of USDA Direct delivery trucks. Ensure inventory does not exceed 6 months utilization, provide recommendations to management for removal of excess inventory, ensure carryover inventory does not exceed 10% of annual diversionso Monitor WBSCM Processor Inventory reports to ensure maximum utilization of pounds at processors, analyze data, and provide recommendations to management for additional truck purchases and plans for reducing excess inventory. Maintain annual tracking of carryover pounds and State sweeps.o Coordinate with the Bids/Contracts team to ensure that all FMV, SEPDS values, and Price Catalog items are set-up in NAV correctly.o Collaborate with Gold Star operations team to conduct inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and provide result reports with recommended actions to management. •Provide customer service and training to Recipient Agencieso Monitor entitlement utilization, direct delivery inventory, DoD utilization, and provide customer service and training to ensure maximum utilization of the USDA Foods Programo Coordinate with the K12 Team to provide updates on member districts purchasing commercial items vs. commodity items, incorrect FFS SKU's, and underutilization of direct delivery USDA Foods. o Collaborate with Gold Star Operations team and customer service to resolve RA's, product complaints, returns, shipping discrepancies, etc. Provide results to management. o Communicate issues and concerns to management in timely manner.Qualifications •Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Ability to utilize other computer systems.•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written•Ability to multi-task, excellent time management and organizational skills•Ability to think critically, analyze data sets, and provide recommendations
