Director of Accounting{Brisbane, CA - Remote}

| Company Size: 51-200 employees We’re looking for a Director of Accounting with 8+ years of accounting experience that has management experience overseeing Account Receivables and Accounts Payable departments for a great opportunity in Brisbane, CA (Remote to start).This position will focus on overseeing the monthly, quarterly and yearly close processes for domestic and foreign entities, as well as oversee the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Revenue Management and Cash Management departments. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into a growing computer software organization, and eventually move into a VP, Corporate Controller position. The position will offer remote work and a base salary plus stock options.

As the Director of Accounting, you will:
  • Oversee the monthly/quarterly/yearly close process, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and various financial analyses for domestic and foreign entities to deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable Department (i.e., Cash Collections, A/R Aging, Invoice Generation, Invoice Queries) and Accounts Payable Department (i.e., Negotiate payment terms, A/P Aging, Generating Wire / ACH transactions)
  • Oversee Revenue management to ensure all revenue transactions (i.e., sub-ledger post to the general ledger)
  • Oversee Cash management by developing a cash flow forecast based on cash flow in/out of the organization (e.g., payroll, A/R, A/P, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain internal controls in responsible areas of financial reporting to ensure adherence to company policy and regulations
  • Lead the annual PCAOB audit and quarterly reviews of consolidated financials
  • Prepare and maintain audit PBC’s based on systematic and routine reconciliation of accounts
  • Assist in research, company adoption, and documentation of emerging accounting standards
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements
  • Complete ad-hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned
  • Support the continuous system and process improvements of the Finance organization

Job Requirements for the Director of Accounting:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 8 + years of experience
  • Experience working in public accounting
  • Demonstrated competence in Excel
  • Working knowledge of Tier ERP systems: Workday preferred. Implementation experience is a huge plus.
  • Start-up & ownership mentality. Team-player approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven knowledge of current US GAAP standards
  • IPO experience a plus
