Field Service Technician

We have a new, contract-to-hire opportunity for a Field Service Technician who is able to work Wednesday through Sunday evening shifts. This is a driving position which requires a DMV background check to be completed.Use of reliable, personal vehicle required - miles reimbursed according to CompuCom policy. Scope of Activity:

• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
• Documents, maintains, upgrades, or replaces hardware and software systems
• Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups
• Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders, and replaces parts as needed
• Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs
• Installation of program systems, point-of-sale systems, and any other related equipment
• Duties could also include training of other field service personnel
• Provide support for printer break fix experience

• May require an Associate's degree or its equivalent and entry level - 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• CompTIA A+ Certification is required
• Reimaging and updating O/S experience required
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Works under immediate supervision
• Excellent customer relations is a must
• Installation skills are a plus
• Must have point-of-sale and installation experience
• Field service experience and printer break fix repair experience required
