Configuration Manager (NGBRSO-21-0996-F): Bowhead is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to support our Remote Split Operations Program at March AFB, CA. The successful candidate act as a liaison between Program Management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration documentation. The Configuration Manager will provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and distribution. Drafts configuration management plans, reviews and determines configuration requirements. Assists in the development and maintenance of configuration management databases. Plans and implements methods to improve coordination and response on documentation status. Consistently demonstrates a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of configuration management principles, methods, and techniques; evaluating change documentation and developing impact assessments for planned configuration changes; maintaining integrity and traceability of configurations throughout the life cycle; experience with formal Change Control Boards related to ECPs, SCNs, SCDs, Deviations and Waivers. Experience related to weapons systems and/or Air Force programs. Other duties to include: • Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Configuration records and documentation shall be published and maintained. Periodically coordinate with the base Communications and Information Systems Installation Record (CSIR) manager to review, update and maintain CSIRs IAW TO - updates to be made within 60 days of a change or new installation. Must obtain approval prior to installing, removing, or relocating fixed communications electronics equipment, including equipment for other agencies/services. • Design, document, and implement technical architectural/infrastructure layouts for NGB mission systems equipment and operations centers. • Maintain configuration drawings and schematics -compatible with Microsoft Visio 2007. • Coordinate all communications infrastructure or systems changes through KO and PM for coordination with appropriate agencies. Coordinate and obtain approval from the NGB prior to making temporary or permanent configuration changes on all mission equipment that affect ongoing missions. • Coordinate and obtain approval from the NGB prior to performing maintenance activities that impact ongoing missions - may require up to 30 days prior notification/approval. • Assist in engineering changes and implementations of technology changeovers such as ATM equipment to IP; this may include hardware such as switches, routers, edge devices, and encryption equipment. • Aid the Government in creating and implementing migration which minimizes or eliminates mission down time. • Coordinate and implement any circuit or technology changes with approved designated Operations Centers/Cells. • Document equipment technology changes in comprehensive network diagrams using the Microsoft Visio software application. These diagrams must accurately reflect both the network(s) and subnet address(s) for all ports and interfacesRequirements • 3+ year of related experience • Experience with MC Visio 2007SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
