Senior UX/UI Designer with Automotive experience

The Senior UX/UI Designer in the CARIAD UX & Customer Value team is responsible for designing and defining the cross-brand North American UX/UI concepts and requirements for a cluster of experiences and usage scenarios within the CARIAD Experience Framework and Design Systems. Each Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for a specialized cluster of experiences and collaborates closely with a global team of designers, researchers, product managers and engineers across CARIAD and the Brands of the VW Group to design and develop the customer experience at all stages of the product development process and on-going product updates.

• Responsible for designing, defining & aligning the cross-brand North American UI/UX requirements of a major cluster of User Experience Scenarios & Touchpoints, as part of the global CARIAD UX & UI Frameworks.
• Works across multiple agile, distributed, inter-disciplinary & international product teams to identify and resolve complex UX/UI design & concept issues for several CARIAD products to be implemented by multiple vehicle brands of the VW Group.
• Plans, prioritizes and aligns the needs & available project budgets for User Research, Analytics & UI/UX Prototypes to shape the concept/design & validate the concept quality.
• Presents designs, concepts, project/progress reports and presentations to top management, mentors, partners, and project affiliates.

• Works across team-bourandries to define and align scope, timeline, resources and deliverables to ensure projects are consistent with the product goals and milestones. Actively resolves conflicting inputs and manages the development activities to ensure that objectives & key results are achieved.
• Plans, coordinates and supervises design activities of external design agencies, contractors & interns.
