Programmer Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be located in Seaside, CA. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton in supporting large and mission critical software applications within the organization. In this role, you will:
  • Build and code data programs using SQL language (Oracle).
  • Heavily use data, analysis and need the ability to understand the data to create programs.
  • Prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
  • Build and develop programs using additional languages such as SAS, Python and/or R.
  • Need to have the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities.
  • Need to be detail oriented, highly organized, and motivated.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Strong SQL experience in (ANSI or Oracle).
  • Working experience with data analysis and data reporting.
  • Pivot tables and reporting using Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and managing requirements.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience working in and with MS Office tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust clearance (required to start).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with modern business analytics tools like QLIK
  • SAS or R experience
  • Python
  • ETL skills
  • Department of Defense data knowledge or experience.
  • Capable of dealing with all levels of management, client executives, and client representatives.
  • Ability to organize material and complete writing assignment according to established standards regarding clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
  • An active Position of Public Trust clearance.
